Privacy Notice
VisionIQ is built on context, not on profiling. This notice explains what we process, why, and what you can ask us to do.

1. Controller
VisionIQ is the controller for the personal data described in this notice. All privacy enquiries and data subject requests are handled at office@visioniq.fi.
2. What we process
- Camera view: processed to recognise the place you point at. The camera is used while you are actively using the discovery view in the app.
- Location: used to determine which places and campaigns are relevant around you.
- App usage events: which cards were opened and which campaign actions were taken, for service quality and campaign reporting.
- Contact data you send us: name, email, phone, company and message content when you use the contact form or email us.
- Business customer data: billing and campaign details for advertisers.
3. Why we process it (legal bases)
- Providing the discovery service you requested — performance of a contract.
- Camera and location access — your explicit device-level consent.
- Showing contextual campaigns and reporting reach — legitimate interest.
- Answering enquiries and managing customer relationships — contract / legitimate interest.
- Accounting and statutory record keeping — legal obligation.
4. What we do not do
We do not sell personal data. Campaign targeting is based on place and context — your location and the place you point at — rather than on a behavioural advertising profile built about you.
5. Sharing and processors
We use service providers for hosting, email delivery and payment processing. They process data on our behalf under data processing agreements. Where a service provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on the transfer mechanisms permitted by applicable data protection law. You can ask us which service providers are relevant to your data at office@visioniq.fi.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as statutory obligations such as accounting rules require. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised. You can ask about the retention applied to your own data at office@visioniq.fi.
7. Your rights
- Access to your data and a copy of it.
- Correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure, where the conditions are met.
- Restriction of and objection to processing.
- Data portability.
- Withdrawal of consent, including revoking camera or location permission in your device settings.

8. Security
We use access control, encryption in transit and least-privilege practices to protect personal data.
